Silviu Dorin Vulc hails from Romania and has taught in Russia, the UK, Thailand, and is now based at the world famous London Fight Factory.
Silviu’s skills and passion for Combat Sambo are on a level that few can match, his desire to teach is infectious and his level of knowledge and training history are extremely impressive.
Originally an amateur boxer with a record of 89 fights (70 wins and 2 draws) Silviu then took his skills into coaching, as the Romanian olympic boxing coach. Here, he developed many young boxers into champions and olympic competitors.
Silviu then transferred his passion and dedication into the sport of Sambo. He trained first in Romania and then accepted an offer to train in Russia (Staruy Oskol) with the Red Devil Sports Club. It was here that he excelled and caught the eye of the famous Sambo and MMA coach Vladimir Voronov.
Voronov and the Red Devil Team went on to sign Silviu, so he was able to train three times a day with the exclusive team that included Fedor Emelianenko, Aleksander Emelianenko, Gegard Mousasi, Amar Suloev, Kirill Sidelnikov, Roman Zentsov and many more.
With the Red Devils Silviu trained full-time and developed a vast set of skills. He also competed in the World Combat Sambo Championships in 2007. Despite having been hospitalised only weeks before, he was able to rank fifth in the world – losing only to the eventual winner. Fedor Emelianenko described it as a “great fight”.
Silviu Dorin Vulc is now the Boxing and Sambo for MMA coach at London Fight Factory where he is helping to build an amateur and professional fight team.
Silviu has competed in 10 MMA fights with a record of 8 wins and 2 losses.
