I’ve never seen this outside of Streetfighter….. a crazy takedown defence? that turns into a takedown/powerslam. Something WWE would be proud to show on a PPV. The crowd shows minor surprise, followed by a relaxed un-impressed quitness. Maybe they all blinked while it happened? Maybe this kinda thing is common place over there? its deff. one of the craziest takedowns ive seen.

I love seeing sambo used in a grappling/submission wrestling tournament! where better than NAGA, sambo VS wrestling VS catch VS pankration VS bjj VS what ever you got Here you see a great level of control and confidence and eventually a relatively simple but very, very neat NECK CRANK for the submission.

Man…. i dunno about you? But i felt that sweep AND that crank, just watching on YouTube!
Sometimes things look smoothe as silk… like a flying arm bar – so smoothe, with a rolling transition. Then sometimes things make my eyes water straight through the YouTube clip! Sambo isnt exactly a gentle art, but damn is it effective. Silviu Vulc shows us a very nice counter sweep/throw to a takedown attempt… and if the impact didnt get you enough, then feel the the test dummy (Rafael Lopes) who has to get cranked straight after. The Guy In Blue is Going to be sore Tomorrow
I guess you cant always win…. this guy in blue is on the receiving end BIG TIME. countless throws, sweeps & takedowns from the man in Red… while our buddy in the blue gets tossed around like a rag doll. Never the less, this is a fine video that shows some VERY NICE techniques. Lots of moves in there to take in a break down slowly, great stuff.

Its pretty common that you hear people refer to sambo JUST for it’s leg locks. YES, the leg locks are crazy good…. but sambo and particularly Combat Sambo is MUCH more than that.
