Note – the dummy in this scene is Jed Nuttal, one of the toughest lads at the gym Phuket Top Team. The quick and desperate yelp of “yeah yeah, yes” is because this submission comes on QUICK. Break it down and have a good look at it, also note the way Silviu explains why he does not triangle the leg over itself. Useful hint.

Man…. i dunno about you? But i felt that sweep AND that crank, just watching on YouTube!
Sometimes things look smoothe as silk… like a flying arm bar – so smoothe, with a rolling transition. Then sometimes things make my eyes water straight through the YouTube clip! Sambo isnt exactly a gentle art, but damn is it effective. Silviu Vulc shows us a very nice counter sweep/throw to a takedown attempt… and if the impact didnt get you enough, then feel the the test dummy (Rafael Lopes) who has to get cranked straight after.
